Questions to Answer

1. Observe the following references to James -

John 7v5; Acts 12v17; 15; 16; 21v18; I Cor. 9v5; 15v7; Galatians 2v9

  

2. James called Jesus 'Lord' and spoke of himself as being His 'servant'. In the light of John 7v5, what possibly happened to cause him to think differently about Jesus? (verse 1)

 

3. What is meant by ' the twelve tribes scattered among the nations ‘? (verse 1)

 

4. Why can we 'consider it pure joy' when 'facing trials of many kinds'? (v2 - 4). See also I Peter 1v3-9 and Matthew 5 v11, 12.

  

5. The importance of faith when we pray is stressed in verse 6. See what Jesus says in Matthew 21 v21, 22 and 17 v19, 20.
